ERP and Global Test and Engineering Services Company

Problem
NTS, an international test and engineering services company, foresaw the need to replace an AS/400 based financial system with a state-of-the-art ERP system in order to have a platform that tightly integrated all the different international locations as well as future acquisitions. After evaluating several packages, MS Dynamics AX was chosen. Due to the large number of international locations it was a base requirement to leverage web user interfaces for all users. MS Dynamics AX was able to fulfill this requirement partially with out-of-the-box functionality provided by their SharePoint based Enterprise Portal.

Solution
CABEM took a lead consulting and steering role in the overall MS Dynamics AX implementation. CABEM designed, built and delivered functional modules that were required but were not sufficiently covered by the MS Dynamics AX Enterprise Portal, namely a highly flexible quoting system which allowed easy and safe creation of quotes ranging from hundreds to millions of dollars in value. CABEM also integrated an existing customer portal which was tied to the legacy backend to the MS Dynamics AX backend. CABEM delivered a cost-effective, state-of the art solution to the customer allowing the ERP implementation to leverage the Enterprise Portal as the main user interface for all users.
