Desktop Applications

Web to Desktop Development Expertise

Though the web has global reach, sometimes a desktop application is more appropriate, for example to take advantage of local hardware resources or to provide faster graphical response to the user. As with web-based applications, our desktop application design team works with you to determine how best to meet your business needs. Our Graphical User Interface (GUI) desktop applications are designed for portability — in many cases switching between Windows, MacOS, and Linux implementations is a few simple steps.

Project criteria required the Brownfields Inventory Tool (BIT) be deployed as both a web-based application and a desktop application.
BIT software was originally developed by the EPA to support Native American tribes in the inventorying of brownfields properties. Now available for all to use, CABEM's upgraded versions of BIT are compatible with current MS operating systems, and are built with increased functionality and an enhanced GUI to ensure ease of use and accessibility.
